Shepley Spring Festival 15th-17th May 2020
This friendly springtime festival is set in the West Yorkshire countryside, yet handy for access from both M1 and M62 motorways. The festival showcases local, nationally and internationally acclaimed traditional musicians, singers and dancers. This welcoming little festival also has a range of children’s activities and is completely dog friendly. You loved the new festival venue, in the bluebell woods, with on site accommodation and warm cosy indoor space. For 2020 we are making a few changes giving you a bigger concert room, larger camping field and more parking.
SHEPLEY SPRING FESTIVAL 2020 CANCELLED
In the light of the escalating Covid-19 crisis, we have taken the
unavoidable decision to cancel the 2020 Shepley Spring Festival.
Mid-May is getting towards the expected peak of the crisis and to
bring together hundreds of people under one roof for three days,
many of them from the more vulnerable groups, would be
irresponsible.
We have taken this decision with a heavy heart, but we feel that the
safety of our festival community must always be our absolute priority.
We would like to offer our sincere thanks to everyone who has
supported us so far by agreeing to perform, by buying tickets or by
volunteering.
We will be offering a refund to all ticket holders and will be
contacting you in the next few days. Alternatively, we would like to
offer all 2020 ticket holders the opportunity to carry over their
tickets and join us for Shepley Spring Festival in May 2021 at this
year’s prices.
As disappointing as it may feel for everyone connected with the
festival, we are aware that this situation is going to be difficult for
the live music industry, with many self-employed musicians,
technicians, agents etc impacted. We therefore encourage our
festival-goers to support the artists you enjoy in whatever way you
can. For example, purchasing albums or merchandise from some of
the bands you are hoping to see next year… maybe looking at
learning a new instrument online… or getting a tune written for
a special occasion.
Keep safe, and we hope to see you in 2021.
